Welcome And Patreon Pitch
SPEAKER_01Welcome back to Corporate Strategy, the podcast that could have been an email. Whoa, I'm Anthony. And I'm Michael. Hey, Michael. How's it going?
SPEAKER_02Good to be back again. Good to be back again with you, with the people.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. It's only been like four days since we've been here doing this thing. What's changed?
SPEAKER_02We're ahead of schedule. We are ahead of schedule because I'm going on a trip next week and we need to knock this out. We need to get this off the plate. We need to have this prepped for all of our listeners for next week.
SPEAKER_01Yes. Well, yes. Well, yes.
SPEAKER_02So in terms of so in terms of what changed, yeah, nothing. I think uh everything's been exactly the same. We haven't talked to each other in a whole three days, and it's been a weekend, so neither of us has worked.
SPEAKER_01Correct, correct. Uh well, one of us did do something. Did we? One of us certainly did. Uh want to shout out myself, shout outs Anthony of Corporate Strategy Podcast. Could have been an email. Okay. Uh, shout outs Patreon, shout outs to our patrons. Um, there is new Patreon content live on our Patreon page for paid members. You can be a dollar tier member, a $10 tier member. It doesn't matter what you pick, it's the generosity of your heart that matters. And if you go and sign up, you will be able to access a TED talk effectively on how to tell stories and publicly speak. So check it out. Delivered by yours truly. It's it's a thing you should pay for. This is huge.
SPEAKER_02I'm telling you, stuff like this, and I'm telling all the listeners, stuff like this, you'd have to pay a consultant top dollar, top dollar to get. And all you got to do to get it now is join our Patreon. What is it, ten dollars a month?
SPEAKER_01It's that this is actually true. Uh, just thinking about when I do this for work and like my value, my time, the cost of what I do, steal. It's steal.
SPEAKER_02Listen, I I bill out, I bill out now since I am driven by clients. And I can tell you my bill out rate is quite expensive. So for ten dollars for 40 minutes of content, tell you how you can put together presentations and tell a story, it's a great and speak publicly. It's a fantastic deal. The the hero's journey. I think it's one of the best things you can get. Bang for your buck. And guess what? If you buy it, you get it all the time. You can watch it over and over and over again whenever you need a refresher.
SPEAKER_01And that's the coolness of it. Uh, we do talk about the hero's journey. I also added an entirely new section I've never gone through before uh when I give this training all on the Amazon method. Ooh, but Anthony hates Amazon. Does he? Yes, I do. I really do. But uh, they do have a great presentation method, and I go into how you can use that to uh level up your presentation skills. So check it out. Sign up for the Patreon, sign it up.
SPEAKER_02I like your style, I like your stuff. Eventually I'm gonna do something on effective onboarding. Ooh, but I don't know when that's gonna happen. Maybe in like two weeks. No, I got a trip this week. After the trip this week, maybe maybe that'll be the time. That might just be the
Dreading Work Travel And Flying
SPEAKER_02time.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think that's the time. I think that's the time. Yeah, let's see. I got a trip at the end of Octubre. Oh, that's gonna be a long one. Oh, I'm dreading it already. Yeah, dreading it. Dreading it.
SPEAKER_02But should I ask, or we just gotta wait and we'll air our grievances after?
SPEAKER_01You know, hopefully I don't even have to go. I just be, I just disappear. Just disappear, be gone. I'll quit my job by then. That's the that's the hope. I mean, I'll be unemployed.
SPEAKER_02This is the real hey, if you're a manager, don't listen to this. But if you're an employee, listen to this. You can just say, hey, sorry, my flight got canceled. You can't just say that. You cannot just say that. You just say that and ah, sorry, flight got canceled. Then you can't make it.
SPEAKER_01So I've been there. I've been there, I've been at the airport when the flight's been canceled for work. You call up your travel agency that your corporation pays and they get you on a new flight. That's there's there is no getting out of work trips, sadly. And if you're like me and you hate travel, it is just the worst. And the worst part is it lingers. Like I'm thinking about this trip like once a day. I'm like, uh, that nine-hour flight.
SPEAKER_00Oh nine hours, yeah. It's tough.
SPEAKER_01Like, okay, what do I bring on that flight? Because I'm not gonna sleep. It's an overnight. I just I'm not gonna sleep.
SPEAKER_02Oh, it's even worse.
SPEAKER_01Not gonna happen.
SPEAKER_02Uh see, I'm I'm blessed. I'm blessed with the the airplane sleepiness. I I pass out. The second the airplane starts taking off, doesn't matter what I'm doing, I fall asleep.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02It's the best.
SPEAKER_01You're lucky, you're very lucky. I know you can't do it.
SPEAKER_02I think it's probably because my parents put me in a car when I was growing up and just would drive around, you know. Yeah, put asleep in the home of the car.
SPEAKER_01So the home of the plane does the same thing. Oh, I can sleep in a car. I mean, I did the same thing. I slept in a car as a kid. I just airplanes, it's the fact that the air sucks. The air sucks. Yeah. And then you're just surrounded by all these like nasty people, like, you know, just living their lives, which is so disgusting. Like, don't live your life around me. Don't do that. I don't want I don't want you living your life around me. I want you absolutely terrible. I want to be as far away from you as humanly possible. I I hate it. I hate everything about it. I I actually love the activity of flying. And I mean, if I could ride in a private jet, I'd probably love it. It's the it's the being surrounded by the smelliest people. It sucks. The smell is terrible. The air is terrible. I hate the air, and it's cramped. I don't understand. Like, I I do not genuinely understand people fly day in, day out. My body hurts so much just sitting in that seat for an hour. And it takes like days to recover from the pain I I have in my body after sitting on it. It's uh yeah, it's tough.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I actually I rescinded what I said because you made me, I'm not in corporate anymore. When I was in corporate, you have to submit your expenses. And when you do it for flights, most expense systems are like, what is the status of this ticket? Used, canceled, something, something, something. And if you hit canceled and it wasn't canceled and it actually charges your company, you're gonna get audited. Tough, it's gonna be tough.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, the travel aid, I let the travel agency take care of all.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, they're just gonna they're gonna get you there, whether you like it or not. That's the worst part.
SPEAKER_01Pro tip if you have to travel for work, have that number on your phone saved. That's the best advice I can give you, because you never know when you're gonna need to call and figure something out.
SPEAKER_02Don't look yourself. Like they literally pay most corporations pay a travel agency to deal with it for you. And it's like no changes. Sometimes it's a change, sometimes they have to upcharge you, but they're they're trying to get you to work. So as long as it's not like yeah, astronomically big, just be like, whatever, approve it. 200 bucks, fine. Yeah, do it.
SPEAKER_01There is the you book responsibly and you respond with urgency, I guess. Like you always book the cheap flight, the the floor not the cheap flight, you book the flight that falls within your corporate mandate. But when things hit the fan and you're stuck at the airport and you need to be somewhere, customer visit, whatever, the company no longer cares about what is cheap and what is not. So you take you take what is offered. That's the yeah, 100%. Yeah, yeah.
Supersonic Dreams And Regulatory Capture
SPEAKER_02You know what I can't wait for? I can't wait till supersonic flight is a thing.
SPEAKER_01It's never gonna be a thing.
SPEAKER_02I just wanna I mean it's it's happening, it's just not gonna be commercialized for like 10 years. But once it is, no, it's gonna be incredible.
SPEAKER_01I don't know if they're gonna get it.
SPEAKER_02If I can get to like if I can get to Japan in like three and a half hours, that'd be amazing.
SPEAKER_01I don't think they will. And here's here's why. Here's why. Uh if you could get to where you wanted to go faster, then there wouldn't be so much urgency and time it's spent at the airport and time spent on the airplane. And I I mean, so like I unfortunately, I'm so broken brained right now because ever since I watched that solar video I talked about like a half a year ago now, you really you start to realize that we don't want things to be better. We have the capacity, we have the capability, we have the science, the technology, the energy, we have everything we need to be better. We don't want to be because we like people suffering, because people that suffer spend more money. And I think that's really what it comes down to. You'll never get accessible travel because your suffering generates more money for the airlines. And until we say no more, we're not gonna fly until you make airlines better, they're gonna continue to enjoy uh pulling the suffering out of our skin and flesh. Like, I don't want to get into like medicine, but you know there are other countries outside of the one we reside in that are like on the cusp of cures for incurable diseases. And I'm I'm not gonna say names, I'm not gonna be specific, but like we could literally solve problems for like cheap. Yeah, we don't want to because death and suffering pays so much more. And that's that's all I'm gonna say. Yeah, that's all I'm gonna say.
SPEAKER_02It's it's capitalism and it's it's these companies who took a red capture approach of they're going to create regulatory committees around these things that generate lots of money so that you can't innovate in those categories and be able to effectively make change. And unfortunately, it's actually happening with AI right now, too. The biggest two firms are actually saying and freaking everybody out that AI is like the devil and it's gonna break everything, just so they can create regulatory committees to then say nobody can publish a new AI model until it goes through all these regulations, and then you end up with like the airlines with FAA, where it's like and maybe five years before something new to an aircraft gets approved, maybe, and like you can't innovate.
SPEAKER_01But you want to like cram seats together closer? Oh, yeah, that's absolutely okay. Not a problem. For sure. That's actually our idea. We can do that. We can do that for you. You want to be like this much closer to the to the back side of the person in front of you? Yeah, we can do that for you. We can we can get that.
SPEAKER_02You want to create a double decker middle seat so that not only are you squish from the sides, but you squish from the top. We can do that. Yeah, we can do that. We can push that. Actually, if you want to, you can do that today. No regulation needed.
SPEAKER_01Suffering and inconvenience will always try to be slid. Everything else. Everything else. This is just this is a world we live in.
SPEAKER_02I'm cracking myself up thinking about like the regulation you put in place. You want to put like a slide in underneath the seats and you pay a little bit less to be slid under the seats and under there the whole flight? Extra person per row, could do it today.
SPEAKER_01Easy. They'll do it. But if God forbid we make the plane faster or more fuel efficient, or more comfortable. No, absolutely not. We can't do that. That's dangerous. That's dangerous.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I would say it's and therefore other nations will adopt it faster than we will. Yes. And we'll be beat, and then we'll be stuck with the old stuff, and then we'll be forced to do the new stuff when a country has already kind of you know figured it out.
SPEAKER_01Well, it's like you look at the the cell phones and the cars in China, and yes, I realize there's a can of worms to this conversation, but they are just objectively better, right? Like they have objectively better technology than we do now. And I can't help but wonder are we capping ourselves because of our lust for capitalism and suffering? So, you know, just yeah.
SPEAKER_02The things that I think about things to think about, things to think about.com check it out.
Domains Pepsi Man And 90s Nostalgia
SPEAKER_02It probably is a website, don't probably is actually.
SPEAKER_01If it's not, we should lock down that domain.
SPEAKER_02Things to think about.com. Hold on, we gotta take a quick aside. I want to go to things to thinkabout.com. Now we're gonna kind of look at oh, it is no, no, no, it's for sale. It's actually we could do it. Things to think about.com things to thinkabout.com, domain for sale, $1,795.
SPEAKER_01Holy cow, I don't know if it's worth it.
SPEAKER_02With the money, with the money coming back from our Patreon, we could just all invest into this, and then we could put things like Pepsi Man on the internet.
SPEAKER_01Pepsi Man is on the internet.
SPEAKER_02Pepsi Manan is about the internet.
SPEAKER_01We already have a website.
SPEAKER_02Is there a Pepsi Man.com?
SPEAKER_01Uh no, Pepsi has like divested from Pepsi Man, sadly.
SPEAKER_02Oh, oh, I'm getting cloud flared. It's it's a blank, it's a blank page, meaning it exists. But it's it's uh it's a it's a 404.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, Pepsi Man no longer is the mascot of Pepsi. In fact, he never really was. That was a Japanese.
SPEAKER_02If they brought that back, if they brought it back to the US and said, hey, we're gonna totally revamp our marketing and make it all about Pepsi Men, they would go viral tomorrow.
SPEAKER_01I I do think with all of the nostalgia craze, you know, you think about like Stranger Things, Backrooms, like we we've kind of moved from the 80s vibe of Stranger Things and Ghostbusters, and now we're getting into the like 90s, like backrooms is the perfect 90s movie. I just saw Buddy in theaters last week, phenomenal movie, by the way. Good 90s energy. So I think we're moving into our 90s nostalgia era. Pepsi Man would be huge if Pepsi brought it back. Like, I think that is a pretty good idea. Maybe call them up after the pod, give them give them the loadout. Fair enough. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Also, Buddy looks terrifying. So thank you for making me Google search that.
SPEAKER_01Buddy was great, highly recommend.
SPEAKER_02Was it was it terrifying?
SPEAKER_01No, it was hilarious. It was really funny. Yeah. Uh I'll give you the I'll give you like the the five second pitch. Barney the dinosaur is now Buddy the Unicorn, but it's real. So like it's not a it's not a film stage set. It's real. It's real. Okay. It's a real thing, Buddy. And uh he's he is losing his grip on his his cast of identity. His cast of crew. No, no, no. Okay. He he Buddy knows exactly who he is, but uh some things start going wrong, and Buddy reacts maybe inappropriately when things start going wrong. It's it's built as a horror movie. There's no jump scares. If you can handle, I don't know. I mean, I would even say like if you could handle like Ghostbusters, you can handle Buddy. It's very funny, it's very good. Like the you ever seen the adult swear?
SPEAKER_02This doesn't have a jump scare? How does this not have a jump scare? I looked at the images. It's a dude dressed up in a mascot costume. There has to be a jump scare.
SPEAKER_01It's not a dude dressed up in a mascot costume, it's buddy.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I'm sorry, it's buddy. Buddy loves you.
SPEAKER_01Either way, buddy loves you.
SPEAKER_02I don't want Buddy's love.
SPEAKER_01Oh. You will love Buddy. Or Buddy will take care of you. Um, you ever see Too Many Cooks? The Adult Swim?
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_01Interstitial. I don't think so. Oh. Directed by so Too Many Cooks is a 10-minute adult swim interstitial. It's on YouTube. I'm gonna demand you go watch this after the podcast. Just go watch Too Many Cooks. Um, Buddy is directed by the same dude who did Too Many Cooks, and I think it probably exists in the same universe as Too Many Cooks. If you like Too Many Cooks, you will like Buddy. I think it's a very safe assumption to make.
SPEAKER_02Yep. Yeah, looking at this and then comparing it to what I just looked up with Buddy, it looks like the same era.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. It's that it's that 90s nostalgia, which I'm here for. As a as a child of the 90, I'm ready for it. So let's bring back Pepsi Man. Let's do it. Pepsi Man, let's do it. Pepsi Man horror movie. Let's go.
SPEAKER_02Let's go. Ooh, that would be really interesting. Maybe about how Pepsi flooded the town and then Pepsi Man came back like he was gonna save everybody. But in the reality of things, he actually just killed more people.
SPEAKER_01That's right. That's right. Pepsi Man. He didn't reimburse them. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Nope. Think him a single penny. I love it.
unknownI love it.
SPEAKER_01Dark side of Pepsi. That's the Netflix documentary coming towards you.
SPEAKER_02Yep. Oh, that'd be epic. Maybe we'll have to fund it from our Patreon. If you all buy into our Patreon, we could fund this movie out of our pockets. Anthony would dress up as Pepsi Man. I would dress up as the Town Villager. It'd be great.
SPEAKER_01Just one villager in the town. That would be that's that's it. Just one. Okay.
SPEAKER_02That's all we could afford with our current budget. But if we get a few, if we get a few more dollars in there, we can afford some some more extras.
SPEAKER_01I think if we got to a thousand dollars a month, which it we'll never get to, but I think if we got there, we could put together an entire like Pepsi podcast, like an expose. I think we'd have the resources and the budget we could hire somebody to help us put it together. We could probably pitch it to Netflix. They already have that Pepsi Where's My Jet documentary. We could do like the dark side of Pepsi when Pepsi tried to flood a town and then host a contest and kill people. You know, all the good stuff.
SPEAKER_02All I can think about is when we talk about Pepsi flooding that town is just how sticky that town was. It was gotta be so sticky. Oh, so sticky. So sticky, so sticky. And the animals, what are you drinking, by the way? Are you drinking Pepsi?
SPEAKER_01Pepsi. Yeah, it's Pepsi. Having a little, I'm having a little Pepsi. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Oh, thanks. I heard that noise right in my ear. It was great.
SPEAKER_01That Pepsi taste yum. Tastes like tar. Dude, if we ever got offered a Pepsi sponsorship, like I would take it. I would take it.
SPEAKER_02I think I think we'd have to take it.
SPEAKER_01I mean, who wouldn't? Because they'd be so stupid to do that to us, given all the crap we talk about.
SPEAKER_02This is a coke only podcast.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I don't drink either. Sorry. Uh both are disgusting, my my humble opinion. You know what's good? Some of those like tractor sodas. You know, have you ever had those? Those taste good. Yeah, those are good. Those are much better than posterior coke. They come in, I think they come in bottles, but you can also get them at like soda fountains at like higher end upper, lower middle class restaurants.
SPEAKER_02I don't I don't think I've had this. I don't think I don't think so. But I I can tell you a Coke always hits the spot.
SPEAKER_01No, not anymore.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_01Coke's called Mexican Coke. Uh Mexican Coke, I can't.
SPEAKER_02Mexican coke, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, for sure. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Well, since we have no uh I don't need to ask you how you're doing, I just did that two days ago.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I don't need to ask about your work because you haven't worked in like what probably feels like forever, like four days.
SPEAKER_01I'm not going to work ever again.
SPEAKER_02Fair enough. You're just gonna completely drop off the face of the earth, and I respect that. You should bingo.
SPEAKER_01Bingo.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, just tell them sorry, I didn't want to come back, and that's it. Don't say you quit. Wait till they fire you, but just stop showing up. You know, yeah, look at that paycheck.
SPEAKER_01They call that cloud quitting. They call that.
SPEAKER_02He's just gone. What do we do?
SPEAKER_01I guess we continue to pay him.
SPEAKER_02I mean, payroll's gonna at least take one week to figure that out.
SPEAKER_01Oh, so it'll take longer than you'll at least get another paycheck.
SPEAKER_02I'm just I'm just saying.
SPEAKER_01No, I think given my criticality to all the current projects, if I was missing for 24 hours, they would literally call my emergency contact and assume something was wrong. Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_02They would come to your house and they'd be like, uh, is Anthony here?
SPEAKER_01It would be quick. Uh it'd be very quick.
Draft Game Begins Top Threes
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Well, I got something for you today because you don't want to think about the work. And just to make you think more about work, I bring to you today a game. A game.
SPEAKER_01Do you want to play a game? Of wit and skill. Do you play games? Chance? Do you want to play a game with me? Sure. Sorry. Operation. Apology accepted. No, thank you.
SPEAKER_02You sure? It'd be fun.
SPEAKER_01I'm good. I like my nose the way it is.
SPEAKER_02Uh, fair enough. I like it too. And I think that people want it. If you showed up with a different nose one day, people would unsubscribe so fast this project.
SPEAKER_01No, I'll pass in the operation.
SPEAKER_02Today I thought it'd be fun for us to do a little game that I have definitely thought through, and I don't think there will be any issues at all with us playing this seamlessly, and everyone will have a great time. Okay. I thought today we'd play top three. I don't know if you can tell, Anthony, but in the background, back there, can you see it? I'm pointing to it. If you're not on the YouTube and you're listening, uh, well, you need to watch. So if you want to watch, go on the YouTube. I'm pointing to something in the background. Anthony is getting so close to the camera. I think he can see it. Can you see that? Yeah, you can see. Perfect. That back there is a fantasy football championship trophy for Liga Bannon. For like 15 years. And I am the champion, which is why I have it. And so it made me think of it's a lot of fun when you draft football teams because you do it in this snake-like format. So basically you go, everybody picks, person at the end gets two picks, it snakes all the way back to the front. The first personnel gets two picks and just snakes back and forth. And I thought of a game for us to play, and that relates to a corporate. That is a nice little snake pick for us.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02And it is top three. The top three. That's gonna be the game.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02It's gonna be a good one. I'm in.
SPEAKER_01I have no idea what we're doing, but I'm in. I'm in.
SPEAKER_02We're gonna do it together. Don't worry, don't worry. We're gonna do it together. All right. Top three out of office messages that you've ever seen in your career. And each of us, one of us goes first. That means whoever goes first has to pick twice because they picked the first and the third, and then we go alternate back and forth.
SPEAKER_01Top three out of office messages. I don't think.
SPEAKER_02Do you want me to go first?
SPEAKER_01Well, yeah, I yeah, please go first.
SPEAKER_02All right, all right. This this one was good. This per this was pre-AI, by the way. Out of office message. All of them are pre-AI. This is pre-AI. You'll understand a second when I tell you. This person wrote a poem about where they were going. This it was on a cruise and who to contact if you're in need of something. And it all flowed so beautifully and nice. And so, you know, you send a message, the person's got their out of office on, you get this automatic reply. And it comes back to you as a poem. It just talks about like sailing the seven seas. And it's like, if you run into this, you contact Jennies, and like it just rhymed everything. You're like, this person just took the nicest care and put so much thought into this out of office message, and you know everybody's gonna take the time to read it. It was just so beautiful.
SPEAKER_01That's really cute. I like that. I like that. I was well, it's funny. Um, I dude, I cannot think of a single fun out of office message I've ever seen in my life. I this I saw someone do a haiku once, and that was kind of cute. I I couldn't tell you what it said, but it was like, you know, the the what is it, five, seven, five with the yeah, syllables or words, whatever, whatever. Um is it words or syllables? I think it's words. I think it's words.
SPEAKER_02You think so?
SPEAKER_01I think it's yeah, the gentle breeze floats by. Summer is here again. This is this is bad. We don't even know what a haiku is. I mean, I'm not a poetry person, not a poetry person. Look it up. You're you're googling it. So I'm looking at it, uh syllables, not syllables. Oh, that makes it so much harder.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, 575.
SPEAKER_01It was a haiku, though. I did see a haiku out of office. Um, and that was cute. But I think my my honesty, my my favorite out of office are the ones that are like, I'm not here. If you need X, contact Janine. If you need Y, contact Michael. If you need C, contact Janice. And like, dude, thank you. Thank you so much. Thank you for making this so easy for me. Uh, that's all I need. That's truly all I need.
SPEAKER_02I think the third one I'll wrap us up with is when they just put, I'm out till this day. That's my that's my out of office. Like at that point, why did you even send an out of office? Like, just don't send anything back. But like the fact that you take the time, you gotta tell me about their September 31st.
unknownThat's it.
SPEAKER_02That's it. That's all you need.
SPEAKER_01There's nothing helpful. I mean, I just know the day you're coming back. That's it. That's all you need to know. That's all I want you to know.
SPEAKER_02I mean, I guess you could infer that everybody's smart and they can do that. All right, fine, fine, fine.
SPEAKER_01If you can't figure it out, the reason the one I pick is so nice is because it's like, oh, I don't have to go talk to anybody else. I've got a direct line. But I mean, most of our day-to-day is just figuring out who to talk to for what anyway. So, how is that any different? It's just I'm not here. Good luck.
SPEAKER_02Fair enough. Fair enough. I mean, I guess you do get a lot out of that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. You you at least know they're not there. It's better that you get that than you send the email and you're like, when is Greg going to email me back? It's been days. It's been days. And then someone's like, Yeah, he's out of office till September 31st. And you're like, It's September 20th. Why didn't he not send it? Why is there no email telling me when he's back? Like, you should be grateful, Michael. You should be so grateful. I can't believe you think it's it's inhumane to give you a date. It's I mean, it's the least we can do. It's the least we can do.
SPEAKER_02Fair. The more you speak about this, the more I agree with you. Because you can just check the little status, you can check the organization. I okay, fine, fine. A short message is better than no message at all. I'll give it to you.
SPEAKER_01I put my little palm tree up on Slack. That's what I do. Put a little palm tree on.
SPEAKER_02If everything syncs and you set your okay.
SPEAKER_01It should. It don't. It don't. It's the Microsoft integration, really, that's the problem. But yeah, I do the palm tree. Why not?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02All right.
Video Call Nightmares And Privilege
SPEAKER_02I got another one for you. This time you're going first, so you gotta have two picks.
SPEAKER_01Well, I hope this is a better one for me.
SPEAKER_02This is the top most ridiculous thing you've seen in a video call. In a video call? Not heard. In a video call, what is the most ridiculous thing you've seen in somebody's background? Oh. In a situation between people.
SPEAKER_01I've talked about this before. I've talked about this on this podcast before. I'm not it like it, it will forever be uh oh no. The worst thing I've ever seen on a video call was someone digging for gold, and you know what I mean. And they did eat it. You know what I mean.
SPEAKER_02Oh that is so that is definitely one of the worst.
SPEAKER_01The best part was they were on a projector and we were in a meeting room when it was happening, and like we were like, no, no, no.
SPEAKER_02It's so bad. It was really bad.
SPEAKER_01I mean, it grosses me out, like it's it's hard to gross me out, and yeah, even thinking about that, like it's making my coffee gurgle a little bit in my belly, like it's like oh, it was so it's incredible.
SPEAKER_02Holy cow. Okay, all right. Well, what would mine be? I think mine is like probably someone definitely taking a dump. You've seen that, and like well, you know, someone's sitting on the toilet, they're sitting on the job. You get the bathroom, and it's like in the phones like on the ground or in their face, yeah, and all you see is like the background, dude.
SPEAKER_01That's wrong.
SPEAKER_02Their face, just like, and you can tell it's like two stalls on the side, and like you can just tell the situation, but I think the time that I saw it actually started on the floor that was in the floor, like pointing to the ceiling, and so you saw like a little bit of the leg. No, then you saw them like pick it up, and then you saw their face in the two sides of the stall.
SPEAKER_01No, yes, I tell you, people have like no, they they have there's no shame. There is no shame because it's not just an invasion of their privacy, it's an invasion of mine, because I don't want to see that. I don't want to know, I don't want to see it as someone who is, I would I would call myself a master class dumper, like I have a black belt and taking a dump. Uh, I really don't need to see anyone else do it. I'm I'm quite good at it myself. Uh, I can teach a masterclass on it, so please don't don't invade my privacy, my eye space with that. I can't believe you saw that. I that blows my mind.
SPEAKER_02Anyways, I mean, like it was never brought up again, but everyone who saw it knows and they know this person and they know what happened, and now you can never look at them the same. Every single time you saw them, you're like, I can just think of that. It's burned in my memory. It's actually my memory for life.
SPEAKER_01Okay. You want a good one? Last minute. Do you want a good one or a bad one?
SPEAKER_02Oh, I kind of want a bad one.
SPEAKER_01You want positive or negative?
SPEAKER_02You have do you have both?
SPEAKER_01I have both. Do you have both? I have both. Positive or negative. Choose your fate.
SPEAKER_02I kind of I kind of want the negative. What is wrong with you?
SPEAKER_01What is wrong with it?
SPEAKER_02I want the negative so bad.
SPEAKER_01So uh a few of our listeners who survived this with me will remember this one because it was recurring. It wasn't just a one-off thing. Uh, there was a leader that we reported to who's very well off. And uh, I have to be general here. Not that I would ever work for them again because they sucked. But uh they the way their camera was positioned, like so. If you were looking at me on your camera right now, behind them was a staircase. And going down the staircase, uh, I would often see a housekeeper carrying their laundry from upstairs to downstairs and downstairs to upstairs. And it would be it would be one thing if it was a housekeeper, if it was just a housekeeper, right? Because it's like obviously well-to-do people have housekeepers and aren't they so lucky that they have people who can do their trivial things like laundry for them? But it was the fact that this housekeeper was wearing a maid outfit, was visibly a minority, and just like didn't look healthy. Like I was just like, this is so I want to, I want to save this person. Like, I want to, I want to reach through the screen and save this person. And it the first time we saw it, we're like, oh, that's gotta be that's gotta be someone else. That's that's someone who lives with this person. It's like, no, because then we'd be on the call and there it there would happen again, and we'd see it again, and we're like, my god, this is just a housekeeper just walking down the stairs in the background, like lugging these heavy things of laundry. Terrible. So I like that's awful at least 10 times, at least 10 times. Yeah, and we we would message each other. Uh, me and some of the the fellas who would also see this happen. We would message each other out and be like, Look at this person, like, look at them, look at them, just showing their privilege for everybody.
SPEAKER_02Like, did they just not care? Did they just not care? And like, whatever.
SPEAKER_01This was also the person that went to my boss and told them, tell Anthony to smile less. So, just you know, it gives you an idea of who this human being is, and why I would never work for them again. So, I don't mind roasting here, but yeah, truly just a horrible human being, and just put their privilege on display for all. It's crazy.
SPEAKER_02That's wild. Holy cow! All right, that was that was depressing. Thank you for that.
SPEAKER_01I I gave you the choice. There was a positive one. There's gonna be super uplifting. You chose the bad one.
SPEAKER_02I chose the bad, and now we may never hear the good one.
SPEAKER_01And you won't.
SPEAKER_02That's the game.
SPEAKER_01I'm I'm keeping it. That's the game. You're not gonna hear it.
SPEAKER_02All right,
Office Microwave Rules Fish Popcorn
SPEAKER_02next one. You ready?
SPEAKER_01Ready.
SPEAKER_02Top three things that you should not bring and put in the microwave.
SPEAKER_01Oh. Oh.
SPEAKER_02I've got two picks for this one. So I got it.
SPEAKER_01I know, I know what yours are. We lived this together. So whatever you don't pick, I'm going to pick.
SPEAKER_02Well, I got two, but it's so tough. I have like two that are just like tied, and it's tough to pick. I think I'm gonna go, I'm gonna go fish.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that was if you're bringing fish.
SPEAKER_02I remember that. I think that's worse than anything. Yeah, I don't care what it is. That is so, so bad. And the stank just it just creates the stench in the I swear it gets sucked into the carpets. It gets into the carpets and it never comes out.
SPEAKER_01Well, and it's I mean, I would say this goes beyond the microwave. Like it stank up the fridge too. Like that whole room just reeked of fish for weeks after they did that. Uh no argument there.
SPEAKER_02If you're gonna bring, if you're gonna bring fish and like you eat it cold, like quickly with the top on, or you go outside, like that's fine. That's fine. You can do that.
SPEAKER_01But if you would you have a microwave, but you can do that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I don't know why you would. I've done it with like grilled salmon before where I was like, I don't want to like, I'm definitely not microwaving this. Like, I you just can't. And so you eat it outside, you eat it in a closed space, you eat it fast, you close the lid. I've that's my recommendation.
SPEAKER_01I've really come of the mindset that cooked fish is peasant food, and I will not eat it. I think cooked fish is disgusting. Uh, I've never liked it particularly, and as I've gotten older and realize I I can choose what I eat and don't eat, I avoid cooked fish like the plague because I think it is truly just disgusting. It's a disgusting food. It has a bad smell, it tastes good for like 10 seconds it comes off the heating element, and then the longer it sits, the worse it tastes. Like, that's not good. Yeah, like if you if you cook a steak, the steak has like 30 minutes before it starts to, you know, not be as tasty due to the lack of heat element. Fish is bad, like seconds after it leaves the heat. I just I won't eat it. Raw fish only, that's all I'll eat.
SPEAKER_02I think raw fish is definitely top. I mean, you think sushi, like obviously Adam. I almost said Adamame. What is the what is the one that's that's not with rice? Why am I totally boring? Sushimi? I've had this sashimi, thank you. I've I've eaten it a billion times. I love sashimi, I love sushi, it's fantastic. I think cooked fish, grilled salmon is really good. I can do grilled salmon, especially if it's got like you know, blackened skin on the other side. Yeah, I can do like blackened white fish and like a taco or something is always good. And then after that, it's like it gets bad really quick. If you if you get out of the fried fish category, like a crispy, fried, thin piece of fish is good.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, after that, actually, I'll concede on fried fish because fish and chips is great. Yeah, like a fried fried piece of cod is actually delicious. So, okay, yeah, you convince me. I am wrong often, and you prove it all the time. Uh okay.
SPEAKER_02You're you're a big man. You're a big man just for saying you're wrong.
SPEAKER_01Good for you. I I am wrong so often, and I love being wrong. I love feeling like, hey, I could have done that better, I could have learned something, I am improving myself. Fried fish, here we go. Now I kind of want some fried. I want to I want a freaking fillet of fish from McDonald's. Give me that McDonald's. It's not fish, it's something else. But it is fried. It's good.
SPEAKER_02I'm not eating McDonald's phileo fish. No thanks.
SPEAKER_01Phileo fish. Uh, number two, and and you know, it's gonna sound counterintuitive, but you just can't do it. You just can't do it. It's popcorn.
SPEAKER_02Don't popcorn for sure.
SPEAKER_01Don't do it. Don't do it. You think you've got it under control. You know your home microwave. You don't know the that office microwave has been through war, it has been through peace, it has survived nuclear events. It is not safe to cook popcorn in. That is not what its purpose is. Its purpose is to heat up lunch meals and it it it will destroy your popcorn, it will light it on fire, it will never pop from the kernel, the kernels will burn. That is the that is the effect of the office microwave on popcorn. Do not put popcorn in there, it will not pop. I promise you. It will just piss off everybody and the entire floor will stink.
SPEAKER_02I don't know that I've ever experienced a corporate situation where somebody tried to cook popcorn and did it successfully.
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_02Ever. Never happened.
SPEAKER_01It's actually never happened on record.
SPEAKER_02You bring up such a good point. It it is so different than your home microwave. And you know what's gonna happen. Somebody's gonna walk into the cafeteria or your break room or whatever, right when you start popping it. You're gonna forget that time exists, and then it's gonna burn, and then that smell is it's it's forever in your nose, in everyone's nose throughout the office.
SPEAKER_01And here's here's the other thing, too, is let's say on the off chance you cooked it right. You didn't, because it's not possible, but let's just pretend hypothetically you actually manage to cook it right. Then everything just smells like hot oil and butter. Like it, the vapors of the oil and butter get everywhere and it stinks for days. And that that one of the reasons I I love I'm you know, I'm a cinephile, love going to the movie theaters. One of the things I actively avoid and hate is walking past the popcorn machines because like the butter they use is so synthetic and disgusting. Like it smells, it it almost smells like a fart. It's so close. The scent profile is very close to a fart. I mean, it's dairy, it's butter, but it's not butter. It's some weird synthetic butter hybrid. It just smells awful. And if you have, if you make popcorn at home and you use real butter, you know that's not what it smells like, and that's not what it tastes like. And we've really fallen far from the good graces of the butter gods because I believe that once upon a time, movie theater popcorn is probably delicious and the butter tastes good, but those days are gone. Just get rid of it, remove popcorn from society in public spaces, period. It's a it's a private space-only food. That's that's where it belongs.
SPEAKER_02It's so like nostalgic for me to have a popcorn at the movie theater that I'm okay with the syntheticness of it, but it's definitely worse than it used to be. No, it's a hundred percent worse. I agree with you. Disgusting. All right. This oh, this one's tough because I got so many. I mean, you definitely took that's that was my one-two. Fish, I think, is one, but popcorn is like a clo like burnt popcorn is a close second because it just never leaves. The stench just goes around everywhere. So I think I think for the third, and this one's this one's tough because I could go one of two ways. I'm gonna go mystery meat. Mystery meat. If you're if you're cooking like pork in the microwave, what about hot dog? And like you have to force, dude, you have to force everyone to smell that. There's something about it that's just disgusting. It's just it's gross. It's gross. You don't know what it's gonna smell like. A hot dog's just uh gross. I I eat hot dogs, I like hot dogs, but just like cooking that in the office is is is rough.
SPEAKER_01It's rough. You should really be boiling that on the office stove. That's how you should please don't.
SPEAKER_02Please don't. You know what? I actually my third one is just don't microwave things at the office, it's just not a thing you should do.
SPEAKER_01Just don't use the microwave. I mean, here's here's a thought, right? Because I I agree. I think that is a good number three. If you if you think about the office microwave and the literal hell that device has been through, why would you put food you're about to consume in there? Like, do you know how many things have caught on fire, exploded, was alive, going in, is dead coming out? Like, do you want to expose your food to the microcosm of it's not bacteria because it's not alive, but it's not dead either. Like zombified stasis meat that's just hanging out in the ether of the office microwave. Like, don't touch it, don't look at it, don't go near it. You'll catch something. Certainly don't put food in there. Do not put food in there ever.
SPEAKER_02And you know it hasn't been cleaned, and like something can't be right about the microwaves going through food over and over and over and over again, just to be popped off the sides of the microwave, right into your food tray. At least put a lid on it.
SPEAKER_01You know it's bad. You're in the break room, the cleaning staff come in, they're they're wiping down all the surfaces, you know, they're they're you know cleaning up the fridge, throwing away expired food, and they don't touch the microwave. You know why? Because it's a hazard. Don't do it. Don't do it.
SPEAKER_02Just don't do it. Well, well, let's do let's do another one. I'll get another one for you.
Meeting Interruptions Updates Auth Dogs
SPEAKER_02Top three things that could interrupt you on a meeting.
SPEAKER_01That could interrupt, like take my focus away from the meeting or something in the meeting.
SPEAKER_02Okay, all the above.
SPEAKER_01Okay, I mean my number one. I I go first, right? That's how this works. You go first, yeah. My number one just drives me freaking crazy. Oh, I can't stand it. Is my dogs. Uh oh, they are the worst. They know, they know whenever I'm doing like a press interview or a presentation or a pitch, they know it, they sense it, and they're gonna lose their mind for like five minutes straight because my wife's gonna be gone somewhere, and no one's like I have to somehow find a break where I can go off camera, turn around and yell at the top of my lungs to get them to stop because I just can't focus. Even when I have my AirPod Maxes on with like the sound canceling, yeah, like the little wolf that doesn't do it still come in. It's so distracting to me. I cannot stand it.
SPEAKER_02Oh that's a good one, and especially when you're in a rhythm, yeah, it's tough.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I I have that happen occasionally where someone will come to the door and like, you know where I live. I live in the middle of nowhere.
SPEAKER_01Dude, who's coming to the door?
SPEAKER_02So when you go to the door, I'm like, I'm like actively concerned.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's like grabbing the baseball pack.
SPEAKER_02No, drop it off at the gate. Like, you don't just go in someone's gate.
SPEAKER_01No. No.
SPEAKER_02So, like where I live, it's a weird thing. But when the dog starts going nuts and you you're always in the middle of like a client presentation or a pitch for something, it's like just loses your focus for a second, and you know they can't hear it because the noise cancellation is good. Like, dang it. Like that messed everything up.
SPEAKER_01It messes everything up.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I think I'm gonna go for I only have one pick. This is tough. I think I'm gonna go a computer update.
SPEAKER_01Oh, good one.
SPEAKER_02Right in the middle. You're like presenting, and then it's you know, if you work in corporate, you know. JAMF pops in, and JAMF says, Your computer needs to update right now, you can't dismiss it anymore. And you're just like, Well, sorry guys, everything's shutting down, and I'm getting kicked out so this update's done.
SPEAKER_01You know, I haven't had that issue in a long time. Uh because on a Mac, you get to set your time frame for updates. So I've really and I don't have a corporate Mac. Uh, fortunately, most companies have realized that Macs are just secure and you don't have to put all that crap on there, and they they just do just fine. Uh, but meanwhile, Windows needs like 8,000 security layers, but we still buy more of them for enterprises and security companies, and we buy Macs. I wonder why. Uh, regardless, I I kind of forgot that was a problem until you just brought it up because it just doesn't happen to me.
SPEAKER_02And it's it's so many bad things that happen because usually, like when it happens, you're still like in the meeting. Yeah, but you're not, you know what I mean? And so, like, you get frozen usually, right? And then your face is just frozen in the worst position on whatever you were sharing, and you gotta like scramble. You got I you gotta be like, okay, I gotta rejoin somehow. And so, like, you grab your phone, yeah. Okay, I'm gonna rejoin on my phone, and then you jump in on your phone and you realize the presentation that I was presenting is on the computer. Maybe I can share from the cloud, and like it's just this awkward series of events that it's like now everyone's just like waiting, and someone else is like, send me the link, I can pull it up for you and share. It's just the worst, most awkward series of things when it happens.
SPEAKER_01Yep. I I remember the updates, it was terrible. Um you know what I still deal with to this day. Number three, it is a Microsoft problem. It's Microsoft Authenticator. Oh, yeah. You're in the middle of a Teams call. Hey, you need to authenticate to be on this. Well, I can't because my phone is my camera. Also, I literally authenticated an hour ago. What the hell is your problem? And I've never seen, I cannot think of a system that is less functionally intelligent than Microsoft Authenticator. And just when it works, when it doesn't work, like they could they say it's for security reasons. I don't believe them because I don't feel secure. I feel like this is like a virus that lives in my system that is perfectly primed. Like once the dogs start barking, like we've gotten that under control, then boop, hey, you need to authenticate to stay on this call. It's like, no, I don't. No, I don't. I've already authenticated today. And this is a week-long window of authentication I've got going for me here. Go away. But it won't because it's a Microsoft product. And let me just tell you, no one makes worse products than Microsoft. I ain't gonna get a job there. I don't want to work there.
SPEAKER_02I always tell people this. I'm like, if you're forced to work in the Microsoft O365 ecosystem like any of us, I do it for a bunch of clients now that are not in like G Suite or on some other stack. It's like Microsoft's priorities for things are Windows, Windows laptop, Windows browser. So you use Edge or whatever it is, you maybe get away with using Chrome, maybe Chrome's after that because it's really popular. Then after that is like Mac OS, maybe no, it's no, no, no. It's gotta be it's gotta be iOS and Android after that. So we're gonna make really good Outlook app, Teams app for iOS and Android. Then we're gonna do Safari, and then we're gonna do Mac OS apps. That's how much we care about macOS apps. It's all the way at the very bottom. It's that's how I feel. It is crazy to me because I use the browser over a macOS app every day.
SPEAKER_01You you think that's true. You think that's true, but let me tell you why you're wrong. Because as a Mac user who has Windows users on their team, I see them use these apps. And I'm like, wait a second, that's your experience, and they're like, yeah. And I'm like, your experience on Windows is somehow worse than my experience on a MacBook. How is that possible? And I think it's because Microsoft hates their users. That's the only thing I can really come up with, is like they know they've got you. It's it's really a hatred. Like, there's nothing Microsoft hates more than good ideas and the people who pay for their products. They just hate those two things so much. It's crazy.
SPEAKER_02Oh, well, that wraps up our game. What did you think of? Good game. I like it.
SPEAKER_01I I still don't know what the heck fantasy football is or how to play it, but I feel like at least now, if I ever get asked to draft something, uh, I understand the the rules of engagement here. The one, two, three, one, two, one, whatever you said. I get it now. Thank you.
SPEAKER_02You're welcome. I mean, to recap, we had to give every anybody any advice walking away from this podcast. What was the first question that we did again? Top three like worst things you've seen on a Teams?
SPEAKER_01Uh no, it was out of office. Dude, this is your game.
SPEAKER_02This is my game. I should remember these things, and I don't. We did it so fast. All right, okay, okay. Top things to take away from these games.
SPEAKER_01Set a date for your out of office.
SPEAKER_02Set a date for your out of office. It's better than not having one. And put something in there. Ideally, put links to each of the people and have like a meal to link for them if you care. And if you're poetic, if you can do haikus, don't do that either. People will love it. That's what I took away from that.
SPEAKER_01Don't do it. Uh number two is things you've seen on webcam. Uh oh, well, so my takeaway from my takeaway. Oh, are we just I thought we were sweating? So we're we're doing one, two, one, two.
SPEAKER_02That's fine. Are we doing one, two, one, two?
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay. So one, two, one, two. Webcams. You're on camera. That's my takeaway. You're on camera and people can see you. Uh, assume they don't want to see you. So don't show them the worst side of you, please. For the love of God. Like, just don't. Just be normal for five minutes on camera. Just please be normal. Don't no bathrooms, no buggers, just no servants in your house. Just be a normal human being. Emergencies happen.
SPEAKER_02If you need to off camera. And you go on your phone, set that phone far away from you when you're going to the bathroom and do not hit any buttons. The amount of time I see people accidentally turn the camera on is insane. Just don't hit any buttons. Stay far away. All right. Uh, I think the three, the third question is pretty easy. Just don't microwave things.
SPEAKER_01Don't at the office.
SPEAKER_02Please. Just don't. Anything, especially not fish, popcorn, mystery meat. Just just don't use a microwave at the office. It's bad for you. Just don't do it.
SPEAKER_01Do not do it. It is the worst. Uh the smell alone will kill you. Oh, and number four. Last one? No, wait. Number four. Uh no, I'm blank. I'm blanking because I made fun of you. This is this is my punishment that I would forget the most recent one. What was number four? What was the last one we did?
SPEAKER_02The very last one uh was all about the worst things that could interrupt you, like a clock. Interruption in the middle of uh yeah, interruptions.
SPEAKER_01I don't really have a good takeaway for this one simply because like there's there are things that you cannot train around. And I literally just gave training to our Patreons on how to give presentations. Like, don't have dogs, don't use Microsoft Authenticator. Like, I don't know. I mean, they're not really negotiable in that way. So if you have an important presentation, just don't have an important presentation. That's the best thing I could tell you. Just don't do it. You're screwed either way.
SPEAKER_02I think I would take three tips out of it. One, make sure you have two devices because interruptions happen. Have your phone ready so you can hop back in if you have an important presentation. It's it's the least you can do. I've done that many times. We're like, power, power will cut, and I'll be okay, no worries, I'll jump back in on my phone. Two, make sure that someone else, or it's in the cloud, your presentation has to be somewhere where someone else can pick it up for you. Ideally, you message them ahead of time, say, hey Anthony, just in case something bad happens in this presentation for this multi-million dollar pitch I'm about to do to all these people, can you make sure you have the presentation ready? Have a backup plan. That's a perfect one. And three, don't turn your camera on. It's a bad idea.
SPEAKER_01Well, I mean, you gotta you gotta show yourself. You gotta show your smiling face to convince people you're a nice, lovable human being. But if you're gonna go on camera, back to point number one or two, uh be normal. Be normal. For the love of God, please be normal.
SPEAKER_02I think the actual third I'd say is if you're the one presenting and it's to a large amount of people, set it so when people join, they're automatically on mute and they can't control it.
SPEAKER_01You know, I'm gonna add a fourth. That's a good
Screen Sharing Tabs And Work Device Hygiene
SPEAKER_01one. If you're gonna present honorable mention, if you're going to present for the love of God, click share window, never share your screen.
SPEAKER_02Yes. Oh my goodness, that is that one might have to be the top. Because I have seen so many disasters where like you'll see YouTube up and you're like, yikes, everyone just saw your YouTube, whatever you watch on YouTube, all your recommendations, or you get a notification in the middle of a presentation, and it's like someone talking crap about someone else on the call, and you're just like, yikes, that just happened in front of everybody.
SPEAKER_01I like seeing people's browser tabs. Uh, it's my favorite. It really is interesting to see the mini tabs people leave open in their work browsers. Yeah, yeah. Oh, I've seen I've seen some things. I've seen some things.
SPEAKER_02I've seen some tabs that would blow you away. Like, did you actually see that? It's like, yep. Did you did I also see like certain texts come in that were definitely not safe for work? Not images, but just words, and you're just like did that just happen in the middle of this presentation? And was this recorded? Because now it's there forever. Somebody saw it, it's gonna be there forever.
SPEAKER_01People have no shame, man. It's crazy. There's no shame, and they won't get fired either. It's just the it's the craziest thing.
SPEAKER_02Good tips. No, this wasn't even a topic. This wasn't even a tip, but I'm gonna say right now. Don't put your personal stuff on your work laptop. Just don't. Don't do it. Ever. Yeah, yeah. Don't add your iMessage so that way your iMessages sync up in your email, your personal email syncs up. Anything that goes on a company laptop is the companies. I mean, they had access to everything if you gave them the open gate. So just don't just don't do it. Keep it too. I mean, please.
SPEAKER_01I I do think I'll counter, I'll counter your point. I think using, if you're on a Mac, using your iCloud account is fine. Just don't have anything in your iCloud account that you wouldn't feel comfortable going through a legal search and seize at work. I have had to use iMessage uh and my personal email to access certain things. So, like authentication, uh SMS. You really can't get around it. So be professional even when you're not. That's if you gotta go down that path, then you have to be clean. Be clean.
SPEAKER_02Maybe don't be dirty.
SPEAKER_01Don't be dirty.
SPEAKER_02Someone in the chat was like, you wouldn't be able to see much because I've got 60 different tabs open, and they're all just like that really tiny. Listen, I've seen that too.
SPEAKER_01I see those people and I screen grabbed it and I I put it in my team's chat and I say, You shame them. I shame them. I'm like, this is shameful. The amount of RAM they're spending on this is shameful. Don't be like this person, don't do it.
SPEAKER_02Especially, and people I see this all the time. I tell people, I'm like, restart your computer like once a week. Yeah, it's just please, yeah, please restart your computer once a week because all those tabs just add up. It's gonna eat up your memory, something's gonna go wrong, you're gonna lose access to something you need. Just restart it once a week.
SPEAKER_01Just restart it. And if you're on a modern browser, you can make tab groups now. It's great. There's so many ways that you can just clean up your life. Just clean up your life. Yeah. Clean it up. Well, that's it. That's our game. Game of the week. That's game. I love that. Good game, Michael. Good game. Hey, I think we're overdue for the Is It AI, but we'll we'll save that for next time.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_01I got a hard stop. I got a hard stop in that I don't want to be on here anymore. Uh so let's Well, that's unnecessary, but fair enough.
SPEAKER_02Hey.
